Our
Story
Saidanaa’s story starts back in 2017, when Londoner Nathan Moss helped create a small pig farm in the Kakheti region.
He soon travelled to beautiful abandoned villages of eastern Georgia, Nukriani and other areas near Sighnaghi, and made friends among the young locals. Nathan was able to encourage them not to leave abroad for work but rather to join him and stay in their home villages and run the newly-established farms.
A vision beyond farming was soon shaped into a charcuterie shop producing exquisitely tasty sustainable products and sharing space with a small bistro in the old town area of Tbilisi. Kakheti, Georgia
Four
Farms
Today, Saidanaa has 4 farms: The two in Nukriani and Magaro are run by the Nadirashvili family and the two in Kochbaani and Kisiskhevi are run by the Zaalishvili family.
Apples for cider are cultivated in Marana village of Kartli region, Georgia, from previously abandoned orchards. Kakheti, Georgia
Sustainable
Vision
The meats are prepared and aged from one month to several years, until they develop the finest flavour.
All production processes are run aiming to minimise waste: Cider apple wastes are transferred to Saidanaa pig farms, while meat wastes are transported to the
Bears’ Sanctuary in Georgia. SHOP NOWcloseGE
